hotslot® Nozzle heating elements
Even for nozzle heating, hotset offers specific heating elements for each application.
hotslot®
With hotslot®, which is based on the proven principle of hotspring® coil heaters, hotset offers an excellent heating solution for nozzles. The hotspring®/Mini (wall thickness of a minimum of 2 mm according to type) or Micro (wall thickness of a minimum of 1.3 mm according to type) is pressed in a slot thus the hotslot® is especially space-saving. The run of the slot with or without thermocouple as well as the power distribution can be individually determined.
hotspring® spike-system
The system of the hotspring® spike-system offers a lot of innovative advantages for the user: the low wall thickness of the draw tube of only 1 mm, the fixing on the nozzle by easy sliding and turning, as well as the front installation and removal are essential arguments, which save costs and time by this simplified handling. Furthermore the „hotspring® spike-system“ guarantees optimal thermal features of the fixed hotspring® -coil heater (type WRP).
The principle of the „hotspring® spike-system“ consists of a divided reflection tube which can be adjusted to the tool to be heated along to total length by easy twisting against each other. An optimal heat transition is guaranteed by an ideal adjustment to the tool. The special clamping mechanism bridges diameter tolerances of tools from several 1/10 mm and thus guarantees a tight fit which avoids additional fixation measures.
hotspring® lock-system
The low wall thickness of the clamp of only 1.5 mm, the fixation by easy sliding on the nozzle as well as the front installation and removal are essential arguments which save money by this simplified handling. Furthermore the hotspring® - lock-system guarantees optimal thermal features of the fixed heating element (hotspring® - type WRP/Mini).
The principle of the hotspring® - lock-system – is based on two conical turning parts, which telescoped result in tension over the whole heating element. The fixation of the hotspring® - lock-system is effected by axial moving of the outer tube where an anti-twist protection (cut-out) serves as installation aid.
hotslot® FIT-System
Based on the introduced hotslot®-technologies hotset revolutionized with the FIT-System all present possibilities – above all in the area of hotrunner heating and that results in a lot of advantages for the user.
The hotslot®-FIT-system is not a clamping mechanism in real sense. With a slide strength (=release force) of more than 24 kN with 500 °C on the nozzle (at 300 °C unbelievable 10.5 kN) no common clamping mechanism can keep up with the hotslot®-FIT-System.
For the plastic processing industry the tension of the hotslot®-FIT-System in the optimal temperature area on the nozzle and thus the heat transition compared with today´s standards is excellent.
Furthermore the hotslot®-FIT-system offers familiar advantages such as an individually specified power distribution. The heating element will be installed in a slot whereas the run considering the cut-outs and holes can be freely determined. Thus the power can be especially distributed to the nozzle head.
The realised small wall thickness is a further special product advantage also compared with common clamping mechanisms.
The „self-stress“ of the hotslot®-FIT-system makes an easy front-installation and removal possible, the heating element removes the tension in cold condition.
hotspring® with reflection tube
When using hotspring® coil heaters with a reflection tube the maximum surface load increases. Furthermore the reflection tube protects the heater from mechanical damages. The reflection tube can be delivered for a lot of hotspring® dimensions. Additionally it is possible to carry out a controlled temperature measurement with a coiled-in or integrated thermocouple.
